Device Profiles are templates describing which information of a device should be available to OPC-Clients. The SNMP-OPC Gateway has a flexible mechanism to manage these Device Profiles:
You can download Device Profiles for the most common devices from our web-site or, if necessary, you can easily create your own Device Profile.
And the best: You don't need to know anything about SNMP, the Device Profiles hide you from all the technology.

 

The Obermeier Software MIB Browser is the tool to create Device Profiles from SNMP MIBs. A very clean one-to-one mapping of the SNMP variables and Traps into OPC Process Points and A&E Transactions means that you can transparently treat SNMP devices just like any other device being managed and monitored by your automation system.
