CAS Ethereal Rebroadcast


CAS Ethereal Rebroadcast is a utility designed to mimicking network traffic from an ethereal log file.

The utility sends packets exactly as they are received, including MAC address, IP address, Time stamps, etc.

Because the utility sends the packets exactly as it received, it can work virtually with any Ethernet protocol available, 802.1, 802.3, IP, UDP, TCP, IMAP, BACnet, Lonworks, Modbus, and many more.

How does it work?

Create a log of a series of packets with Ethereal, this log contains all the information about the network packets, including time stamps. CAS Ethereal Rebroadcast then takes this log file and rebroadcasts the packets exactly as they where received, to all the other computers on your network it looks like normal traffic coming from several computers that are talking to each other. You can even rerecord the traffic with Ethereal and resend single packets.
