FieldServer’s are highly configurable devices and can be configured to be both DNP3 masters and slaves. In fact a single FieldServer can be configured to act as both master on one or more ports and as a slave on other ports. This allows you to use a FieldServer as a DNP3 data concentrator. One consequence of the degree of flexibility is that the FieldServer cannot be certified as compliant at any level except for a particular configuration. However, the gateway is fundamentally level 1 compliant and has most of the features and object support required for level 2 compliance.
Any data read using any of FieldServer’s over 110 protocols can be served as DNP3 data and Classes can be constructed in the configuration file to consist of the data sets you want. The driver can read and write data and poll for class data. Most qualifiers and almost all objects and variations are supported.
We have module solutions which allow integration directly into DNP3 as well as the stand alone solutions shown bottom right.
