CAS Barrington MicroSTAR and LanSTAR Gateways

Reads and writes data to trunks of Barrington Microstar devices.

CAS-2700-55 Barrington MicroSTAR to BACnet-IP

The CAS-2700-55 Gateway translates data between Barrington MicroSTARs and BACnet-IP with the ability to search a MicroSTAR bus for available units and autoconfigure. The gateway connects to a network of Barrington MicroSTARs through a 2-wire RS485 bus. It periodically polls the MicroSTARs for values and stores the results internally. These results are available to devices on a BACnet-IP network through a BACnet server interface. The gateway accepts BACnet write property requests and translates them to write commands which are sent to the MicroSTARs. Up to 300 MicroSTAR values can be made available for reading and writing through BACnet-IP. BACnet object names are automatically generated based on the MicroSTAR value they represent (Station1-AI3, Station4-DI2, etc).

Driver only supports conversion to BACnet-IP. Contact sales@chipkin.com to inquire about converting from MicroSTAR to a different protocol, (BACnet-MSTP, ModbusTCP, ModbusRTU,Telnet, VeederRoot, XML, REST, etc ).

CAS-2700-54 Barrington LanSTAR to BACnet-IP

The CAS-2700-54 Gateway translates data between a Barrington LanSTAR and BACnet-IP. The gateway connects to a Barrington LanSTAR through RS232. It polls the LanSTAR forvalues at a configurable rate and stores the results internally. These results are available to devices on a BACnet-IP network through a BACnet server interface. The gateway accepts BACnet write property requests and translates them to write commands which are sent to the LanSTAR. Up to 300 LanSTAR values can be made available for reading and writing through BACnet-IP. BACnet object names are automatically generated based on the LanSTAR value they represent (Station1-AI3, Station4-DI2, etc).

Driver only supports conversion to BACnet-IP. Contact sales@chipkin.com to inquire about converting from LanSTAR to a different protocol, (BACnet-MSTP, ModbusTCP, ModbusRTU,Telnet, VeederRoot, XML, REST, etc ).
