• The OPC-SNMP Enterprise Agent (eAgent) provides proxy agent services for OPC-enabled automation systems.
• The eAgent enables the integration of any OPC-based automation system with traditional Network or Enterprise management environments, making your building and process control automation systems and applications manageable components of total Enterprise Resource Management.
• The eAgent enables the integration of any OPC-based HMI, like Johnson Controls, Inc. Metasys^® BAS, to SNMP network and system managers. A typical application would be integrating Metasys^® by JCI Alarms and Events to the customer’s enterprise SNMP manager like Aprisma Spectrum, CA Unicenter, HP OpenView, IBM Tivoli, IpSwitch WhatsUp Gold, or Micromuse Netcool.
• The eAgent can monitor OPC Items and trigger a SNMP trap to an enterprise manager when defined thresholds are crossed.
• The eAgent can provide a key data gathering and system monitoring component of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and data warehousing applications.
